To celebrate the release of Patrick Doyle’s score break down, we’re delighted to announce our first ever scoring competition!
The five best scores will be reviewed personally by Patrick with his thoughts and feedback coming to you by video. The top ten scores will also receive a year’s free access to all OnScore score break downs
Download the scene below and import it into your DAW. The scene has dialogue and sound effects but no music. Review the brief carefully as this should guide your approach to scoring.
When you’ve finished, upload the video including the original sound and your new score to your preferred video platform (Youtube, Vimeo etc). The video must not be discoverable. The video is provided under a limited licence for the purposes of this competition only. You may not share it publicly, nor use it for showreel, portfolio, or commercial purposes without separate permission.
When you’re ready to submit your clip, email a link to the private video to [email protected] with the subject line “Brave scoring competition: your name“. The deadline for entries is the 26th September 2025.
