In this second cue (the fifth in the documentary), Paul shows us how he builds tension using layered cellos, one added on top of another. Alongside other elements also rising in intensity, the effect makes for a building feeling of tension, only released in the second half of the cue as Paul introduces more emotive elements underneath heartfelt testimony from those who were present at the time.

Paul describes how he achieves a slower, more emotive moment in the score by focusing on chordal development rather than a more consistent sustained pedal.
